MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- Southeast Missouri suffered a tough 85-81 overtime loss to Middle Tennessee Saturday night, the sixth straight defeat suffered by the Otahkians.

Southeast after winning its first game of the season, is now 1-6 overall and 0-2 in the Ohio Valley Conference.

Middle Tennessee, which finished in a three-way tie for the OVC title last year, improved to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the conference.

The Otahkians trailed 35-30 at the half and saw the deficit reach double figures before rallying in the second half. The game was tied 72-72 at the end of regulation and Middle Tennessee went on to outscore Southeast 13-9 in overtime.

Paula Corder-King finished with a team-high 18 points for Southeast, which shot 47 percent from the field. Pam Iversen was right behind with 17 points, followed by Lori Chase with 12 and Moneik Campbell with 11.

Iversen also pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds.

Joanne Aluka netted a game-high 21 points on 10-of-15 shooting to lead five Lady Raiders in double figures. Middle Tennessee shot 49 percent from the field for the game. Middle also held a slim 38-37 edge in rebounding.
