SAN ANTONIO -- Southeast Missouri State women's basketball team dropped its third game in a row as the Otahkians fell to 11th-ranked Kansas State 78-42 in the first game of the Texas-San Antonio New Year's Classic.
Southeast (4-6) is still looking for its first win away from from Show Me Center this season.
Kansas State (8-2) led 37-28 at halftime and then outscored Southeast 41-14 in the second half. The Otahkians shot just 16 percent from the field int he second half and 23 percent for the game.
The Otahkians were also outrebounded by the Wildcats 59-32.
The Wildcats, who have won six in a row and eight out of their last nine, shot 46 percent from the field.
Kenja White led the Otahkians with 12 points and Sarah Costello added 10.
The Wildcats were led by Nicole Ohlde wiith 17 points and eight rebounds. Kendra Wecker ended with a double-double, scoring 16 points and pulling down 13 rebounds. Megan Mahoney added 11 points and eight rebounds.
Southeast will face Alcorn State today at 2 p.m.
