CHARLESTON, Ill. -- Eastern Illinois moved into a first-place tie in the Ohio Valley Conference volleyball standings as the Panthers rolled past visiting Southeast Missouri State University 30-27, 30-23, 30-22 Thursday night.

The Panthers, 16-6 overall, are 10-2 in the OVC, the same record as Tennessee-Martin. Southeast, 12-12 overall, remained in fourth place at 8-6.

Emily Johnson was the lone Otahkian to reach double figures in kills as she had 11. Bobbi Carlile added nine. Johnson also led the way in digs with 18. Suzanne Gundlach had 14. Emily Scannell recorded 36 assists.

For EIU, Carrie Stevens had 13 kills, followed by Erica Gerth and Leslie Przekwas with 12 each.

Southeast will host South Florida at 1 p.m. Saturday in a non-league match.
