The Otahkians edged Illinois State 192.925 to 192.600.

"I thought we performed pretty well," said Southeast coach Kris Buchheister. "We were pretty consistent, with 48 and up across the board."

Southeast won three of the four individual events. Erin Chenier was first in vaulting (9.8), Michelle Walker was first on floor (9.8) and Cristie Logan and Jessica Dunbar tied for the top spot on bars (9.75).

The Otahkians will return to action Friday night with a dual meet against fourth-ranked Louisiana State in Baton Rouge.
