The Southeast Missouri State men's basketball team received good news regarding senior guard Anthony Allison.

Southeast coach Dickey Nutt said Tuesday night that X-rays on the shoulder Allison injured during Monday's 83-63 win at SIU-Edwardsville were negative.

Nutt said Allison is "day to day" but the coach was hoping he would be able to play Thursday night when Southeast visits Eastern Kentucky.

"We'll see how it goes at practice [today] when we get to Eastern Kentucky," Nutt said. "We really need Anthony."

Allison is Southeast's third-leading scorer at 12.1 points per game.

The Redhawks, hit hard by injuries all season, are down to only eight available players. That total would be seven if Allison is out.
