SIKESTON, Mo. -- The Notre Dame High School softball team continued its impressive season Monday afternoon as the Lady Bulldogs routed host Sikeston 10-0 in a game stopped after five innings by the run rule.

Notre Dame, which improved to 15-2, got a complete-game pitching performance from Ramona Blankenship. In five innings, she allowed three hits and no walks while striking out five.

The Lady Bulldogs had 12 hits, led by Katlyn Kelley and Mika Williamson with three each. Blankenship, Tracie Kluesner and Stacy Schwartz all added two hits.

CAPE CENTRAL 1, MEHLVILLE 0

Holly Schnurbusch fired a five-hit shutout -- she fanned five and walked none -- as the Lady Tigers climbed to 7-12.

"Holly did a really good job today," said Central coach Amy Blattel. "She mixed up her pitches well and got ahead in the count."

The Lady Tigers, who had four hits, scored the game's lone run in the fourth inning. Megan McDonald drilled a one-out triple and came home on a single by Laura Beard.

KELLY 1, JACKSON 0

BENTON, Mo. -- Kelly's Natalie Lewer won an impressive pitcher's duel against Jackson's Ashley Snell.

Lewer allowed five hits, with nine strikeouts and no walks. Snell gave up just four hits, with one strikeout and two walks.

Kelly (9-2) scored the game's only run in the bottom of the second inning. Bridgett Riley walked, was sacrificed to second by Dana Essner, moved to third on Allison Johnson's single and came home on Cara Scherer's single.

Jackson (8-11) got two hits from Casey Hobeck.

ST. VINCENT 8, PARK HILLS 2

PARK HILLS, Mo. -- Julie Hager pitched a two-hitter and allowed just one earned run while Nicole Hadler homered and drove in four runs to lead St. Vincent.

The Squaws (4-6) had eight hits, led by two each from Kindle Ernst, Amanda Carron and Jean Brown.

VOLLEYBALL

PARK HILLS 15-15, JACKSON 8-11

PARK HILLS, Mo. -- Jackson suffered a rare loss as Park Hills prevailed in two games.

Jennifer Mesey led the Lady Indians (11-2-1) with nine kills and Jenna Leet had six kills and seven blocks. Jessie Koeper contributed three kills, four blocks and eight assists while Erin Hartman had six assists and two service aces. Linden Hahs added three blocks.

Jackson's JV won 15-10, 15-8.

PERRYVILLE 11-15-15, SCOTT CITY 15-3-7

SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Perryville stormed back after dropping the first game to knock off Scott City.

The Lady Pirates (4-7-1) got five kills, eight digs and nine blocks from Katie Kutz. Lisa Pecaut served 22 points, including three aces, and had 14 assists.

Also for Perryville, Emily Amberger served eight points and had nine digs, Cindy Rhyne had eight digs, Amy Garris contributed five blocks and Rachel Wunderlich and Casi Schremp both added three kills.

Perryville's JV prevailed. in two games.

LEOPOLD 15-15, MARQUAND 3-5

MARQUAND, Mo. -- Leopold had no problem in cruising past Marquand.

The Lady Wildcats (8-2-1) were led offensively by Kyla Horrell with seven kills. She was followed by Holly Jansen with five and Courtney Wesbecher with four. Wendy Vandeven recorded 15 assists.

Leopold's JV also romped 15-5, 15-0.

DEXTER 16-15, WOODLAND 14-11

DEXTER, Mo. -- Woodland dropped a tight two-game match to Dexter.

The Lady Cardinals (5-7) got six kills from Emily Davis, seven digs from Jeni Jackson, six assists from Danyel Farrell and five digs from Bianca Martin.

Woodland's JV lost 15-1, 15-7.

ORAN 12-15-15, ZALMA 15-6-2

ORAN, Mo. -- Oran bounced back from a slow start as it crushed Zalma in the final two games after dropping the opener.

Maria Eftink led the way with 14 kills and seven blocks. Jessica Prino had a team-high 11 service points, while Candice Duncan had 14 assists and six digs.

Zalma won the JV contest 15-10, 11-15, 15-12.

DEXTER, Mo. -- A strong Dexter squad rolled past the Lady Tigers (1-6).

Central's JV (7-0) remained perfect with a 16-0 victory.
