Katie Palmer recorded her seventh shutout of the season in the nets for the Bulldogs (7-1-1). Palmer had some help from her defense, which held Central (6-5) to only six shots on goal.

"They made us do some different things matchup-wise," Notre Dame coach Jeff Worley said. "But everybody across the back did a nice job of communicating and switching."

Sierra Ellis scored the first goal of the game on a pass from Destiny Dirnberger with about 13 minutes before halftime.

Notre Dame's junior varsity defeated Central 1-0.

St. Vincent 4, De Soto 1

Stacy Brown had a goal and an assist to lead St. Vincent past host De Soto.

Sierra Paulus, Jessica Burley and Whitney Guth also had goals for St. Vincent (4-8). Teresa Mattingly had two assists and Joy Donze added one assist.

New Madrid County Central beat host Scott City in five innings in a game that was continued from March 29.

Mark Johnston had both of Scott City's hits.

Josh Woods delivered a bases-loaded single to cap a three-run, seventh-inning rally and win the game for host Scott County Central.

Bell City scored nine runs in the fifth inning and held a two-run lead entering the seventh.

Woods and Andrew Pullen each had two hits and two RBIs for the Braves (2-1). Daniel Holman had two hits and three RBIs. Jeremy Johnson added two hits and James Brown was the winning pitcher.
