Chaffee escaped with a SEMO Conference victory as Poplar Bluff lined out to center field with the bases loaded to end the game.

Adam Urhahn pitched 6 innings and picked up the win. He allowed seven hits and two earned runs, striking out four and walking four. Chris Hanback recorded the save, obtaining the final out on the liner after the Mules had pushed across two runs in the inning.

Hanback, Jerrod Steger, Josh Steger, Andy Hendrix and Zach McDaniel each had two hits for Chaffee, which improved to 4-2 overall and 2-2 in the conference.

Jerrod Steger had a triple, while Hanback and Hendrix had doubles.

Puxico scored an unearned run in the top of the eighth inning to defeat Woodland.

Jacob Gillis suffered the loss in relief for Woodland (1-1) despite giving up no earned runs in 4 innings. He allowed four hits and struck out two.

Puxico took a 3-1 lead in the fourth inning on a three-run double, but Woodland tied the score with a run in the bottom of the frame and a single run in the fifth.

Woodland scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh as it collected its first win at home.

Jessica Santi went 4-for-5 with a triple and a double to lead a 13-hit attack. Erica Vance went 3-for-4 for the Cardinals (1-2), while Natasha Rhodes, who had a triple, and Rheanna Greer both had two hits apiece.

Rhodes notched the victory in relief.

Brooke Brown scored an unassisted goal in the 64th minute as St. Vincent notched a victory in Fenton, Mo.

Goalkeeper Megan Wengert made seven saves for her fourth shutout of the season for the Squaws, who improved to 6-1.

Perryville 2, Fredericktown 1

Kendra Schilli and Becca Hanquist scored goals as Perryville won at home.

Lindsay Martin and Nicole Gremaud assisted on the scores, while goalkeeper Chastity Marr made 10 saves for Perryville (4-2). Fredericktown avoided the shutout on a penalty kick with 4 seconds left.

The JV teams played to a 0-0 tie.

Saxony Lutheran won four relays and seven events overall to finish second in a three-team meet hosted by Perryville.

The Central boys and girls teams swept their own triangular.

Mary Dohogne was a quadruple winner, taking first in the 1,600 (6:29.20), 800 (3:00.44), triple jump (26-6.75) and the 1,600 relay (5:11.59) Dohogne teamed with Jordyn Richmond, Kristin Begley and Alle Hardesty on the 1,600 relay.

Central scored 75 points, followed by Sikeston (41) and Scott City (12).

On the boys side, Central scored 86 points.

Central's Zach Horrell won the 200 (25.28), discus (123-0) and the 800 relay (1:41.62) He teamed with Lavonzo Martin, Thomas McElmurry and James Poindexter on the relay.
