PATTON, Mo. -- Notre Dame bounced back after a tough first-game loss to defeat Meadow Heights 12-15, 15-4, 15-7 Thursday night.
The Bulldogs are 15-2-1; the Panthers fell to 6-5-1.
Amanda Dirnberger had 10 digs and 14 service points to lead Notre Dame. Laura Browne and Ali Tyson chipped in seven kills each. Tyson also had nine assists and 16 service points. Valaree Rutherford was solid with 10 service points.
For Meadow Heights, Rachel Welker led the way with 22 assists and 16 digs. Chelsea Bollinger also had a big night with 10 kills and 30 digs.
Notre Dame's JV won 7-15, 15-8, 15-11.
Jackson 15-15, Woodland 0-0
JACKSON, Mo. -- Jackson (9-1-1) posted a rare shutout in keeping Woodland (0-9) winless.
Jesse Koeper led the way for Jackson with five kills and seven assists. Jenna Leet added five aces.
Woodland got three digs from Kyla Hahn and one kill from Jenna Greer.
Jackson's JV won 15-7, 15-5.
Leopold 15-15, Advance 2-12
ADVANCE, Mo. -- Leopold (11-1-1) kept its momentum rolling with a straight set win.
Courtney Wesbecher had nine kills to lead the way. Holly Jansen had eight kills and Lori VanderMierden added five kills. Wendy Vandeven recorded 23 assists.
For Advance (6-3-1) Dana Williams had nine kills, five digs and two blocks. Leslie Rainey also had 12 assists.
Leopold's JV (9-0-1) remained undefeated with a 15-10, 15-10 victory.
Bell City 15-15, Richland 4-4
BELL CITY, Mo. -- Bell City (10-3) reached double digits in wins with its victory.
Katie Niemczyk led with four kills, five digs and nine service points. Sarah Metcalf added four kills and Witney Abner had 12 assists.
Bell City's JV won 15-2, 15-3.
Chaffee 15-15, Oak Ridge 2-6
OAK RIDGE, Mo. -- Chaffee (1-5) notched its first win of the season.
Jennifer Vandeven had six blocks and three kills for Chaffee. Molly Fowler had 10 service points and two aces while Natalie Townsend added nine service points.
Oak Ridge's JV won 15-5, 15-11.

Farmington 10, Central 8
FARMINGTON, Mo. -- In a defensive struggle, Farmington downed Central in its eighth-grade opener.
Matt Hester scored Central's only touchdown on a fumble recovery.
