Notre Dame improved to 5-1 with an eight-stroke victory against Sikeston in a dual meet Wednesday at Bent Creek Golf Course in Jackson.

Notre Dame finished with a score of 166; Sikeston had 174.

Clayton Eftink led the Bulldogs with a 4-over-par 40, while Will Lindman shot a 41, Tyler Menz shot a 42 and Brandon Holzum shot a 43.

Sikeston's E.C. Atchison was the medalist with a 39.

BOYS TENNIS Dexter 5, Central 4

Central's loss on the road marked its first defeat of the season and also the first time the Tigers lost to Dexter in Central coach Bud Craven's 12-year career.

Kevin Rohatgi, Carson Kelley and Alex Kies all won singles matches for Central (2-1), and Rohatgi and Kies teamed up for the Tigers' lone doubles victory.
