Notre Dame finishes second in conference meet

Notre Dame won two events and finished second with 437 points at the Show-Me Conference swim meet Thursday at Central Municipal Pool.

The Bulldogs finished first in the 200 medley relay, breaking the meet record, and the 200 freestyle relay.

Notre Dame, which finished 24 points behind conference champion John Burroughs, also collected five second-place finishes. Jackson (268) placed fourth, followed by Central (229) and Saxony Lutheran (38).

Central's Jordan Gramling finished first in the 50 and 100 freestyles, breaking meet records in both events.

Jackson's Kristian Troxel broke meet records in winning both the 200 IM and 500 freestyle.

Jackson's Ryan Gibson also broke meet records with victories in the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly.
