Notre Dame junior Austin Greer hit his fourth home run in five games to help the Bulldogs overpower Kelly 12-11 in a baseball shootout Thursday.

The game was supposed to be played at Kelly, but was moved to Notre Dame because of field drainage problems.

Jacob Valleroy also homered for the Bulldogs (7-5).

Notre Dame jumped ahead with six runs in the first inning, but the Hawks kept battling back. The Bulldogs took a 12-5 lead into the bottom of the sixth, but the Hawks scored six runs to get within one.

Colton Young came in for the save, striking out the side in the seventh while giving up one hit to seal the win.

Levi Felter homered for the Hawks.

Chad Scroggins pitched a four-hit shutout to lead the Indians past the Mules in a conference game.

Scroggins struck out eight batters and walked three.

Andy Winkleblack, Blake Reiminger and Ryan Cheney each had multiple hits for the Indians (4-9, 3-2).

Matt Groves went 4-for-4 and stroked a homer, while Brent Garland added a long ball for Meadow Heights.

Gross, Watkins, Niemczyk, and Leonard Schaefer all hit long balls for Bell City (5-3, 1-0), while Neil Johnson knocked one out of the park for Woodland.
