New Salem Baptist's perfect season is over.
The New Salem girls basketball team suffered its first loss of the season, falling 67-56 to People's Christian of Arnold in the semifinals of the St. Louis Missouri Christian Schools Activities Assocaition's conference tournament.
The Eagles (13-1) led 45-43 heading into the fourth quarter but the team from Marble Hill was outscored 24-11 in the fourth.
Sarah Green led New Salem, the defending state champion in MCSAA, with 24 points.
Molli Lovig scored 47 points to propel People's Christian to the finals.
