MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- New Salem Baptist's fourth-quarter comeback vaulted it past Southern Missouri Christian in final round-robin play at the Ozark Christian Conference Tournament.

Sarah Green led New Salem (13-5) with 21 points, while Nikki Slavings and Rachel Whelan scored 11 and 10 for Southern Missouri (3-9).

The all-conference selections were Eagle Ridge's Amber Karnes and Cara Ervin and New Salem's MacKenzie Jones, Jennifer Meek and Green.

Boys basketball

New Salem 53, Eagle Ridge 50

New Salem Baptist (12-14) hung on to narrowly win after holding a 16-point first-half advantage in the Ozark Christian Conference Tournament.

Eagle Ridge's Andrew Mellies led the Eagles (9-11) with 32 points.

John Davault, David Green and Andy Yount paced New Salem with 17, 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Mellies was joined by Southern Missouri Christian's Ross Whelan and Chad Joerhs and New Salem's John Davault and Green on the all-conference team.
