Neelyville Tigers, Lady Tigers to play in historic Hickory

The Neelyville Tigers and Lady Tigers have a rare Friday night off during the hoops season as both teams loaded up and took a drive to Indiana for a once in a life-time opportunity.

The Neelyville boys and girls basketball teams will play in Knightstown, Indiana, at the historic Hickory Gymnasium, por-trayed in the movie “Hoosiers.”

“Hoosiers is an iconic film for any bas-ketball fan,” Neelyville Athletic Director and girls basketball coach Becky Hale said. “We are excited to play in the Ole Hickory Gym. We have been working hard in preparation for this game because it is a district game and we are still out to get the win but it is a great experience to have as a team and we love making memories together.”

The Tigers and Lady Tigers will take on Alton with the girls game starting at 8 a.m. CST and the boys game starting at 11.
