CHAFFEE -- Notre Dame High's volleyball team made short work of host Chaffee Wednesday night, losing just one point in romping to a 15-0, 15-1 decision.
Jennifer Glueck had six kills while Jessica Hency added four kills and Sarah Westrich contributed 14 assists.
"We hit the ball hard, served well and played good defense," said Notre Dame coach Janet Buchheit, whose squad is now 14-4-2.
Notre Dame also won a close JV match 13-15, 17-15, 15-8.
The Lady Bulldogs will face Zalma at 6 tonight in the Meadow Heights Tournament.
Post-season softball honors
Both the SEMO Conference and Class 2A, District 1 softball teams were announced recently and the state-bound Kelly Lady Hawks earned several spots on both teams.
Kelly, winners on both the conference and district titles, led the SEMO Conference with six selections. Cape Central and Jackson both had five picks. Kelly also led the all-district team with five selections.
