PERRYVILLE -- After falling to St. Vincent in two sets earlier this season, Notre Dame returned the favor Wednesday night with a 15-8, 18-16 win.

"It was really a tough game," Notre Dame coach Helen Payne said. "I've never had a game go 18 points. We're really improving."

Lynne Obermiller provided five kills, four blocks and eight service points. Kim Crader had 11 service points and seven assists, Jennifer VanGennip had five kills and Carrie Halter added four kills as well as 10 service points.

Notre Dame improved to 7-6-1.

Notre Dame's junior varsity posted a 15-7 and 15-9 win to improve to 9-3 on the year.

Jackson 2, Seckman 1

ST. LOUIS -- Beth Becker allowed just one unearned run on four hits as Jackson improved to 15-8 on the season with a 2-1 win at Seckman Wednesday.

Megan Kuntze provided a two-run double in the third inning, scoring Wendy Blankenship and Emily Sander.

Blankenship and Sander each had two hits as Jackson had six in all.

Jackson turned two double plays in the game.

The Lady Indians play at Perryville next Tuesday.

Cape Central 7, Hillsboro 1

HILLSBORO -- Cape Central's softball team fell to 10-12 on the season with a 7-1 loss to Hillsboro.

Cassie Gross suffered the loss.

Ashley Fouch singled and later scored Central's only run on an error.
