MURRAY, Ky. -- Southeast Missouri State University's volleyball team came here Tuesday night looking for some revenge.
Instead, Murray State made it two straight over the Otahkians this season with a 6-15, 15-11, 15-9, 16-14 victory.
The Otahkians, who earlier this month had their 34-match Ohio Valley Conference regular-season winning streak snapped by Murray, fell to 18-7 overall and 8-2 in OVC play.
Murray improved to 16-7 overall and 10-2 in the conference as the Lady Racers vaulted ahead of Southeast in the league standings. Tennessee Tech is now also above the third-place Otahkians at 8-1.
Jackie Derwort had 17 kills and Angie Aschoff added 14 to pace the Otahkians offensively.
Aschoff had 22 digs while Cathy Prichard added 15. Tuba Meto had 40 assists.
Sarah Ernst had 21 kills to pace the Lady Racers. Kristi Hoffman, a Dexter High product who missed the earlier match against Southeast, had 53 assists.
