The Cape Central Tigers defeated the New Madrid County Central Eagles on Wednesday in straight sets 25-4, 25-8, 25-8.

Piper Underwood led the offense of the Tigers with 10 kills while Avery Criblez added in 14 assists. On defense, Ella Hukel finished with nine digs.

Central will participate in the Dig For Life Tournament in Cape this weekend.

Notre Dame 3, Scott City 0

The Notre Dame Bulldogs defeated the Scott City Rams on Wednesday in straight sets 25-10, 25-10, 25-12.

Alyssa Dirden led the Rams with seven kills and Ramsey Spinks added in 12 assists and eight digs.

Both Notre Dame and Scott City will both compete in the Dig For Life Tournament this weekend.

Chaffee 24, Jefferson (Festus) 1 (3 innings)

The Chaffee Red Devils defeated the Jefferson (Festus) Blue Jays 24-1 on Wednesday at Jefferson High School.

The offense of Chaffee was led by Paizleigh Graham who went 3-3 with five RBIs. In the circle for the Red Devils, Carlyanne Cossou started and went two innings of work with five strikeouts and one walk. Bailey Robertson came in for relief and finished the game with a single strikeout.

Chaffee will host Saxony Lutheran on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

Tennis

Saxony Lutheran 7, Fredericktown 2

The Saxony Lutheran Crusaders defeated the Fredericktown Black Cats 7-2 on Wednesday at the SEMO Tennis Complex.

In singles play, Saxony won four of the six matches, two of which were 8-0 sweeps by Maggie Hillin and Abby Haley.

In doubles play, Saxony won all three matches with Evie Caruso and Addie Thomason taking a win in a tiebreaker.

Saxony will participate in the Cape Central Doubles Tournament on Friday.
