The Chaffee Red Devils defeated the Sikeston Bulldogs 9-3 on Thursday at Chaffee High School.

The offense of Chaffee was led by Kylea Pennington who went 2-3 with two RBIs. In the circle for the Red Devils, Reese Van Pelt and Carlyanne Cossou combined for 10 strikeouts, one walk, and three earned runs off six hits.

Chaffee will host Neelyville on Monday at 4:30 p.m.

__Tennis: Jackson sweeps Cape Central 9-0__

The Jackson Indians defeated the Cape Central Tigers 9-0 on Thursday at Cape Central High School.

In singles play, Bailey Rees and Ella Montgomery both swept their opponents 8-0. In doubles play, the team of Rees and Ava Nipper defeated their opponents 8-1.

Jackson and Cape Central will both participate in the SEMO Conference Tournament on Friday beginning at 9 a.m. at Cape Central High School.

__Volleyball: Woodland edges Meadow Heights__

Woodland beat Meadow Heights on the road in four sets (25-17, 20-25, 25-19, 25-20) to improve to 9-7 on the season.

Mallary Barks led the Cardinals with 20 kills and added 16 digs. Maddie Allen had 17 digs and 9 kills. Setter, Rhodie Long dished out 30 assists, 6 kills, and 10 digs.

Woodland travels to Bernie High School on Friday.

__Scott City 3, Sikeston 0__

Scott City Varsity Beats Sikeston in three sets (25-13, 25-18, 25-15) to improve to 6-5-2 on the season.

Maggie Jones led the Rams with 14 kills, while Alyssa Dirden had four aces, Layla Estis had 15 digs and Ramsey Spinks had 39 assists.
