Advance’s Natalee Roper led the Hornets with three hits in the win, driving in four runs in a game-high tie with Brogan Wright-Hawkins, who threw the full game for Advance, allowing four hits, two walks and two earned runs while striking out three.

Leopold freshman Piper Lincoln notched two hits in the loss for the Wildcats, while teammate Ava Jansen drove in a run on one hit.

Advance next plays in the SCAA Softball Tournament beginning on Tuesday, while Leopold next hosts Delta (3-6) at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Oak Ridge (5-3) took a dominant 19-0 win at Grandview (0-8) on Monday to up its win streak to two, with the team having won five of its past six games.
