Scott City (8-5) swept a two-game series in Malden on Friday, defeating Caruthersville 20-0 before downing New Madrid County Central by a 13-0 margin.

Graycie Conklin finished with three hits and five RBIs in the opening win against Caruthersville, all in the first inning in which Scott City scored all 20 of its runs. Mackenzie Lawless’ one hit went for a double, driving in three runs while also walking twice.

Sophomore Summer Wagner threw 2.2 innings in a shortened game against Caruthersvill,e allowing four hits while striking out two batters and holding the Tigers scoreless.

In the second game against New Madrid County Central, pitcher Logan Schiwitz’s no-hitter led the Rams on defense, pitching 3.1 innings and allowing just one walk, striking out four batters while holding the Eagles scoreless.

Offensively, Olivia Ponder finished as the only Ram with a multi-hit game with two hits, driving in a run. Gracie Karrenbrock’s single in the third inning drove in two RBIs, which served as a game-high. Lawless scored three times, reaching on a hit, a walk and a hit-by-pitch.
