Missourian prep softball roundup, Apr. 13: Eagles soar over Hornets

Oran 7, Advance 4

The Oran Eagles defeated the Advance Hornets 7-4 on Thursday at Advance High School.

The offense of the Eagles was led by junior Lillian Knotts who went 2-4 with two RBIs. On the mound for Oran junior Molly Spane went the complete game with 13 strikeouts and four walks.

Oran next plays Bloomfield at home at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Park Hills Central 11, Scott City 1

The Park Hills Central Rebels defeated the Scott City Rams 11-1 on Thursday at Park Hills Central High School.

The lone run for the Rams came on a fielders choice groundball by junior Logan Schiwitz that allowed junior Mackenzie Lawless to cross the plate. Lawless also pitched for Scott City going five innings with four strikeouts and two walks.

Scott City next plays in the Malden Tournament on Friday and Saturday
