Oak Ridge (19-4) received 26 points from Camren Volz to stymie the Meadow Heights (11-10) offense and hold on for a 69-67 victory in the Mississippi Valley Conference tournament.
Volz’s 26 led the Bluejays while receiving further scoring from Konnor Hobeck (14), Ty Wilson (10), Tyler Bishop (8), Ahren Fodge (8) and Brock Hobeck (3).
Meadow Heights’ Koby Cook led the team with a game-high 30 points scored on 14 field goals. Braeden Hays (12), Ransom Grindstaff (12), Damion Hulbert (6), Will Green (3), Kaden Cook (2) and Aiden Mayfield (2) all pitched in for Meadow Heights in the loss.
Both teams continue Mississippi Valley Conference tournament play throughout the week.

Meadow Heights (14-5) got eight 3-pointers out of Ashley Allen in the first half to cruise to a 67-52 win against Oak Ridge (7-11) on Tuesday night at home.
Allen’s eight first-half 3-pointers serve as a presumed school record for the Panthers. Allen finished with 26 points, a game-high mark, with Jaycee Shelton (20), Rachael Hellebusch (10), Kinley Burr (5), Madisen Denman (5) and Aubrey Cook (1) all scoring for the Panthers.
Star Oak Ridge sophomore Reagan Howe finished with another double-double in the loss, scoring 29 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Abby Morrison (7), Madyson Ruehling (7), Addi Urhahn (4), MaKayla Rangel (2) and Hailey Ward (2) all joined her in the scorebook for Oak Ridge.
Meadow Heights next plays at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Scott City (13-7), while Oak Ridge next plays at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday at St. Vincent (18-3).
__GBB: Woodland 51, Advance 40__
Woodland (7-14) outscored Advance (4-15) by 13 in the second quarter en route to a 51-40 win at home on Tuesday.
Sarah Wilkinson led the Cardinals with a game-high 21 points in the win. Caroline Rhodes (9), Mallary Barks (8), Tallie Johnson (6), London Cureton (5) and Maci McIntyre (2) joined Wilkinson in the scoring column for Woodland.
For Advance, Kaylee Cline chipped in 14 points including two 3-pointers for the team lead. Harley Daniels (8), Maggie Stubenrauch (6), Natalee Roper (6), Ava Bowling (2), Jayden Miller (2) and Lexi Hoffman (2) also contributed to the Advance scoring effort.
Woodland next hosts Delta (17-3) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Advance next plays at 5 p.m. on Thursday at Meadow Heights (14-5).
__BBB: Scott City 82, Leopold 44__
Scott City (8-14) used a 28-point second quarter to clear the way for an 82-44 win against Leopold (6-13) at home on Tuesday night.
Nathan Ham led the scoring for Scott City with 14 points on four 3-point baskets. Luke Umfleet (13), Colin Blaylock (11), Blade Uelsmann (9), Jackson Gloth (8), Torrin Johnson (7), Jaylen Rulo (6), Lane Johnston (5), Brenden Beussink (5), Andrew Hayden (3) and Drake Dannenmueller (1) all reached the box score for the Rams.
Leopold’s Keegan Deck led the Wildcats with 14 points on six field goals. Jay Engelen (12), Preston Campbell (5), Klete Beel (4), Austin Broshuis (4), Josh Horrell (2), Mike Wolfe (2) and Landon Wells (1) all chipped in points for the Wildcats in the loss.
Scott City next hosts St. Paul Lutheran (5-15) at 6 p.m. on Thursday, while Leopold next plays against Zalma (2-18) on Wednesday.
__BBB: Chaffee 68, Zalma 33__
Chaffee (9-13) took a lopsided 68-33 win at home against Zalma (2-18) on Tuesday night, winning every quarter by at least six points.
Junior Blake Yarbro led the Red Devils with 21 points in the win, second to just Zalma’s Eli Ford (22). Also in the scoring column, Login Rhodes (16), Shelton Simmons (11), Levi McKinnie (9), Kade Atkins (4), Seger Ruiz (4), Aiden Cruse (2) and Devin Best (1) all chimed in for Chaffee.
Chaffee is next in action at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at Saxony Lutheran (12-8).
__BBB: St. Vincent 69, Herculaneum 39__
St. Vincent (12-10) got back in the win column on Tuesday night as the Indians defeated visiting Herculaneum (13-8) by a 69-39 margin.
St. Vincent next hosts Grandview (8-15) at 7 p.m. on Friday.
