Oak Ridge (12-9) extended its record-setting season with another big victory against Meadow Heights (8-11) on Thursday night, dominating the Panthers on the Bluejays’ senior night.

Shaking off the rust of a week-long break following the conclusion of the Scott-Mississippi Tournament, Oak Ridge got a deep scoring output and dominated the Panthers.

Reagan Howe nearly racked up a double-double for Oak Ridge, leading the Bluejays with 17 points while reeling in eight boards and swatting six shots. Madyson Ruehling followed her with 12 points and another seven boards as the dynamic duo pushed for a big win.

The Bluejays honored just MaKayla Rangel, their lone senior, before grabbing the big win. Rangel finished as the third-leading scorer for her squad, dropping seven points in the dub.

Oak Ridge next plays at 7:15 p.m. on Monday at Scott City, with Meadow Heights next hosting Woodland at 7 p.m. on Monday in Patton, Missouri.

Perryville (13-6) also celebrated senior night on Thursday, and we’d be remiss if we didn’t lead by noting that the Pirates’ lone senior, Brooklyn Moll, scored a whopping 38 points to lead Perryville to the 58-56 victory over De Soto.

An unbelievable stat, Moll put 66 percent of the Pirates’ scoring total to command her squad to victory on senior night – setting a new career high on one of her biggest nights of the year.

The win bettered Perryville to 4-1 in league play, putting it in prime position to contend for a conference title down the stretch.

The Pirates next host Windsor (7-5) at 7 p.m. on Monday.

Scott City (14-7) scored consistently enough to ice out a win against Scott County Central (8-11) on Thursday night, going on the road to knock off a tough Braves squad.

With two players reaching double-digit scoring for the Rams, it was Lilyan Landis’ 14 points with another 10 coming in from Ramsey Spinks that helped seal the deal for Scott City.

Lainey Glueck led the Braves with 11 points, while Reagen Evans poured in another 10 points to help keep Scott County Central in the game.

Scott City next plays host to Oak Ridge at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, while the Braves next host Kelly at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8.

__Advance 58, Puxico 42__

Advance (5-14) used a 34-point first half to dictate the game and take a huge 58-42 victory against Puxico (3-13) on the Hornets’ senior night.

Senior Maggie Stubenrauch led the Hornets with 21 points in the victory, with classmate Kaylee Cline putting up another 13 as the two seniors combined for a whopping 34 points.

For the Indians, Laney Porter’s undeniable 27-point outing worked to keep Puxico close but couldn’t bring them to victory as teammate Emily Carr finished closest behind her with nine points.

Advance next plays at 6 p.m. on Friday at Charleston, while Puxico is set to host Campbell at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
