There were a couple of headliners on a tame Wednesday afternoon for Missourian softball teams, but none stood out more than Saxony Lutheran baseball.

The Crusaders (1-2) got their first win of the year by coming back from a 5-run deficit, walking it off with Owen Tarry scoring on a walk-off passed ball.

Tarry also got the win for Saxony, slamming the door shut with two ducks on the pond for Meadow Heights (2-1) before coming around for the winning tally in the seventh.

St. Vincent baseball (1-2) fell short of its huge rally, making a big statement but never coming up with the firepower to hold off a loud Ste. Genevieve offense at home.

Oak Ridge softball (1-0) kicked off its season with a big win against Century, using a huge 5-run second inning to defend home turf.

Kinsley Bogenpohl led a big effort defensively from the Bluejays, allowing just three hits over the full seven to earn the win.

Meadow Heights softball (1-0) started its season on the right foot with a comeback victory against Leopold (0-2).

After falling into a 4-1 hole, Meadow Heights got the benefit of a plethora of Leopold error, with the official scorekeeper finishing with a tally of 10 wildcat faults.

Piper Lincoln played a masterful game for the Wildcats, allowing just four hits and four walks, holding Meadow Heights without an earned run while racking up three hits at the plate despite recording a loss.

Cape Central baseball (1-2) extended its slump to two games with a mercy-rule loss to Farmington on Wednesday.

Here are your box scores for Wednesday action across the area.
