Lots of teams couldn't take the field on Tuesday with the rainy Southeast Missouri weather, but the few that did had some big games and crazy results to go with them.

For Oran baseball, it was a perfect day to put local teams on notice as the Eagles went into Saxony Lutheran's house and took the reins.

Oran (7-5) trailed at the start of the second and third innings. Oran won by 22 runs in three innings. Both of these things can, surprisingly, be true.

Against a tough Saxony (8-4) team, Oran opened it up in the third inning with an unbelievable 23-run frame to cruise past the Crusaders in an abbreviated dub.

It took Saxony four pitchers to navigate the 85 pitches of the third, with Jason Sparks Jr. helping the Crusaders escape the jam with a hit allowed but getting two outs on 13 pitches.

Kole Burger and Rylan Mills each had three hits in the win, with Mills joining Parker Bryant as Eagles to hit for homers in the win.

Burger (7), Mills (6) and Bryant (6) combined for a whopping 19 RBIs in the victory, clubbing Oran to a loud, proud and certainly joyful win.

Carson Kern and Nolan Loper split it up for Oran, with the latter icing it out down the stretch with five strikeouts over two innings.

If three wins in their own tournament over the weekend weren't enough, the Oak Ridge Bluejays (8-4) extended their win streak to six in a 15-run rout of Charleston on Tuesday.

Kinsley Bogenpohl kept the two-way dominance flowing with a 5.0-inning shutout, allowing a hit and a walk but nothing more and striking out 14 of 17 batters faced.

Bogenpohl's three hits, two for triples and one for a double, led Oak Ridge handily while Madalyn Schemel and MaKayla Rangel followed close behind with two hits each.

Senior Mary Cox of Charleston notched the Blue Jays' only hit, while Soma Hooper drew their only walk of the afternoon.

__BB: Dexter 10, Bell City 7__

Locked in a shootout, Bell City (8-4) couldn't slug its way past Dexter in a 10-7 Stoddard County Athletic Association tourney loss on Tuesday afternoon.

Dexter sealed the win with a four-run seventh inning, led offensively by the three hits and three RBIs of Beau Carrier and another three hits from Nolan Alford.

With the bases juiced and Bell City hot on the trail of a comeback, Houston Neely came in for the Bearcats got a game-ending flyout to seal the big win against the Cubs.

Baylor Eftink led Bell City with three hits, with Easton Newell and Jacob Asher tagging along with two singles each behind him.
