The Meadow Heights and Chaffee girls basketball teams set up a semifinal clash by recording comfortable wins in the Class 2 District 3 quarterfinals on Saturday at Bismarck.
No. 2 seed Meadow Heights beat Valley 57-25 behind a 24-point performance by Caitlin Cook. Hayley Thomas also finished in double figures with 11 points.
Third-seeded Chaffee dispatched Ellington 64-27.
Ellie Sigman led the Red Devils with 16 points while Jordi Pruitt added 13.
The teams will meet at 8 p.m. Monday for a spot in the championship game.
No. 4 seed Oran was upset by host and No. 5 seed Bismarck 62-46.
The Eagles were led by Chrissy Sauceda, who scored 17 points. Sauceda made five 3-pointers in the game.
Taylor Nenninger added 11 points and Allie Cummins finished with 10.

The Delta girls basketball team kept its season alive with a 44-40 win over the McKinley Classical Leadership Academy on Saturday at Scott County Central.

Third-seeded New Madrid County Central ended No. 6 Kelly's season with a Class 3 District 1 quarterfinal win at Malden.
Top-seeded Saxony Lutheran cruised to a win over Scott City in the opening round of the Class 3 District 2 tournament.
A slow start and a big deficit in free throws made doomed the Cardinals in loss Saturday at West County High School
No. 4 seed St. Pius jumped out to a 16-4 lead in the first quarter and made 19 free throws in the game. Fifth-seeded Woodland compiled just four free-throw attempts and made just two, something coach Robert Stein said was out of character for his team.
Josie Long and Lindsay Shell led Woodland with 10 points.
The Cardinals finished the season with an 18-6 record.
