PATTON -- Basketball fans looking for an offensive explosion should have stayed away from Meadow Heights' gymnasium Tuesday night.
"It was a real slow-paced game," said Coach Sam Sides after seeing his Panthers knock off the visiting Wildcats. "It was pretty sluggish for most of the way."
Sophomore Chris Barks came through for the Panthers, hitting four three-point shots and scoring 12 points. Brad Barks added 11 points.
"Chris is a good shooter and he hit four really big ones," said Sides, whose team raised its record to 5-8. "We'd have been in big trouble without him tonight."
Leopold, which fell to 0-12, got 10 points from Andy Beussink.
Meadow Heights led 10-4 after one quarter, 18-13 at halftime and 31-21 entering the final period.
