Letter to the editor 3/24/08

To the editor:

As a team host for the Missouri High School Basketball Championships in Columbia, we had the opportunity to spend time with the basketball players, coaches, cheerleaders and fans from Cape Girardeau. These people were great representatives of your fine city, and you can be proud of the excellent impression they made in Columbia.

The student body and cheerleaders were outstanding in the way in which they conducted themselves during the intensified competition of the state final games.

And congratulations to coach Paul Hale and his assistant coaches in showing their basketball acumen and steady guiding hand to a great group of young men.

Congratulations to the city of Cape Girardeau, Notre Dame Regional High School and the team. We hope to see the Notre Dame Bulldogs back again for future Show Me Showdowns.
