After a late start Wednesday due to a wet field, Cape Central improved to 9-3 with a 12-5 win against Kelly.
The Lady Tigers broke open a close game in the fifth inning with six runs to take a 12-4 lead. Amber Voerg's two-run triple provided Central's final runs of the game. Voerg had two of Central's 12 hits and also had 4 RBIs.
Courtney Haman led the Lady Tigers with three hits, including a triple and three RBIs. Erica McDonald and Cassie Koch both had two hits each.
Central's Kathy Michel went the distance on the hill, allowing four earned runs and seven hits to the Lady Hawks. Kelly's JV beat Central 7-3. Cape host Ursaline Academy Friday.
