CAPE GIRARDEAU — The Poplar Bluff Lady Mules swimming and diving team competed Tuesday at the SEMO Aquatic Center for the 2023 SEMO Conference championships.
After 12 events, the Lady Mules finished second overall with a score of 362.5 points.
Two of Poplar Bluff’s relay teams brought home third place — the 200-yard medley relay team of Gracie Brown, Ava Richardson, Reece Prenger, and Lilly Wilson, and also the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Keira Willis, Lily Gregory, Kinsley Gibbs, and Kate Scott. Willis also finished third in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:11.36.
Meanwhile, the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Gregory, Willis, Gibbs and Scott finished fourth, while Willis finished fourth in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 28.54 and Gregory took fourth in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:14.76.
