CHARLESTON -- Cherish Tillman scored 19 points as Jackson wasted little time in disposing of Charleston in SEMO Conference action Thursday night, notching a 55-18 victory.

Christa Millham added 12 points as Jackson improved to 8-1 overall and 2-0 in the conference.

Jackson built a 21-4 lead in the first quarter and held a 36-10 advantage at halftime.

Jackson returns to action Saturday when St. Joseph's Academy visits. The varsity game will begin at 2 p.m., followed by the JV.

Notre Dame 65, Farmington 60

FARMINGTON -- Notre Dame outscored Farmington 26-12 in the fourth quarter to pull out a road victory Thursday night.

Melissa Maurer led the Lady Bulldogs (10-3) with 15 points while Randi Senciboy had 14 and Jennifer Glueck 11.

"It was a nice win for us, especially having to come back like that," said Notre Dame coach Jerry Grim. "We finally started playing in the fourth quarter."

Perryville 91, Grandview 18

PERRYVILLE -- The Lady Pirates ripped Grandview from the start, outscoring Grandview 29-6 in the first quarter.

Perryville led 50-12 at halftime.

Renee Kaempfe led the attack with 31 points as Perryville improved to 11-4 overall and 2-0 in the Jefferson County Conference.

Laura Ernst added 14 points, while Shannon Dreyer finished with 11 and Tiffany Perkins tallied 10.

St. Vincent 66, Crystal City 26

PERRYVILLE -- The Squaws won for the fourth time in five games with a rout of Crystal City in Jefferson County Conference play.

St. Vincent (5-6 overall, 2-0 conference) only led 25-16 at halftime, but outscored Crystal City 41-10 in the second half, including 22-2 in the fourth quarter.

Fara Galati led St. Vincent with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Sara Cissell tallied 13 points and Debbie Welker netted 10 points and dished out seven assists.

Kelly 80, Oran 27

ORAN -- Kelly had little trouble disposing of Oran Thursday, building a 42-11 lead by halftime.

Four Lady Hawks finished in double figures, paced by Heather Scott with 16. Marissa Essner deposited 14 points, followed by Audrey Burford, 13 points, and Ashley Dirnberger, 12.

Kelly improved to 8-3 while Oran fell to 1-6 with the loss.

"They have experience and they have balanced scoring," said Oran coach Adrian Eftink. "They play real well together."

Delta 33, Sikeston 30

DELTA -- Despite not scoring from the field in the fourth quarter, and scoring just eight points in the second half, Delta held on for a victory over Sikeston.

Delta (9-2) outscored Sikeston 16-6 in the first quarter, but managed just 17 points for the remainder of the game. The Lady Bobcats led 25-21 at halftime and took a 30-28 lead into the fourth quarter. The Lady Bobcats netted just three free throws over the final eight minutes, but managed to outscore Sikeston 3-2 to collect the win.

Delta's Amanda McDaniel scored 13 points to emerge as the game's lone double-figurer scorer.

Boys Wrestling

Cape Central 49, Sikeston 40

Cape Central won the final two matches of the night to turn a 39-40 deficit into victory.

"We had almost all our guys out of weight classes just to get them matches," said Cape Central coach Drew Lilledahl. "I took a chance with messing around with the lineup. Sikeston is down a little bit, but they have three or four tough kids."

Sikeston was a point ahead until Central's Alex Elfrink pinned Sikeston Erin Boddrey in the 215 match for a 45-40 lead. Tiger heavyweight Craig Knoth then won an 18-9 major decision over Jeff Heacox to seal the win.

Paul Miller (112) and Keith Benton (125) also had pins for Central.

Central improved to 2-4.

Boys basketball

Fredericktown 69, St. Vincent 52

FREDERICKTOWN -- Andy Clark netted 28 points as Fredericktown turned back St. Vincent Thursday night.

Brandon Boswell, 12 points, and Brandon Toppins, 10, were also in double figures for Fredericktown (4-7).

Justin Moll scored a team-high 15 points for St. Vincent (1-11).

Fredericktown led 14-5 after one quarter and 37-21 at halftime. The lead grew to 53-33 by the start of the fourth quarter.

Central freshmen

Cape Central's freshman basketball team defeated Sikeston 39-32 Thursday.

Chris Cole scored 10 points for Central, which improved to 6-5.
