SIKESTON -- Home court advantage did not mean much to the Sikeston Lady Bulldogs Monday night as they played host to Jackson's Lady Indians, the No. 2 team in Missouri Class 4A.
Jackson made itself at home against the young Sikeston squad, holding the Lady Bulldogs to one first-half point en route to an 82-6 victory.
Jackson, 18-2 overall, improved to 4-0 in SEMO Conference play and set up a conference title showdown with Cape Central on Thursday.
Against Sikeston, Jackson bolted out to a 26-1 lead in the first quarter and led 39-1 at halftime. The Lady Indians took a cozy 64-3 lead into the fourth quarter.
Christa Millham was the game's only double figure scorer, finishing with 24 points. Eleven Lady Indians found the scoring column.
Perryville 79, Hillsboro 26
PERRYVILLE -- Perryville clinched at least a tie for the Jefferson County Conference large school title with a romp past visiting Hillsboro Monday night.
Perryville (18-5, 8-0) iced the game in the first quarter, outscoring Hillsboro 24-3. The lead grew to 48-9 by halftime.
Laura Ernst connected for four 3-pointers and finished with 27 points. Amy Verseman added 16 points and Renee Kaempfe finished with 14.
Perryville can win the title outright with a victory at Herculaneum on Thursday.
Kelly 60, Charleston 36
CHARLESTON -- Audrey Burford scored 16 points to lead three Lady Hawks in double figures as Kelly defeated host Charleston Monday night.
Teammates Marissa Essner and Ashley Dirnberger added 14 and 12 points respectively.
Lawana Wiley netted 12 points for Charleston.
Kelly jumped out to a 15-6 lead in the opening period and extended the advantage to 31-13 by halftime.
Scott City 47, Delta 35
SCOTT CITY -- Scott City held Delta to nine first-half points Monday night and posted a comfortable victory over the visiting Lady Bobcats.
Scott City (13-5) led 12-4 after the first quarter and 24-9 at intermission.
Becca Gowin scored a team-high 14 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the field before she twisted an ankle early in the third quarter. Gowin did not return for the remainder of the game and her status is uncertain.
Alaina Smith added 11 points and guard Sarah Glenn pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.
Amanda McDaniel netted a game-high 17 points for Delta.
Woodland 64, Oran 54
MARBLE HILL -- Desiree Bollinger poured in 26 points and Lilo Whitener added 17 to spark Woodland's home-court victory Monday night.
Oran got 20 points from Sara Heisserer, 18 from Lindi Prindle and 11 from Kelly Wheeler.
The Lady Cardinals (6-9) grabbed a 29-20 halftime lead.
De Soto 68, St. Vincent 37
DE SOTO -- St. Vincent was no match for De Soto Monday night as the host Lady Dragons romped.
Debbie Welker led the Squaws (7-11) with 16 points but no other St. Vincent player had more than five.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Marquand 85, Chaffee 58
MARQUAND -- Dusty Stephens pumped in 32 points as Marquand clinched at least a tie for the Mississippi Valley Conference title by rolling past visiting Chaffee Monday night.
The Tigers (14-7, 5-0 MVC) also got 17 points from Eric Hovis and 15 from Travis Braswell.
Chaffee (1-16) was led by Jamey Dumey and Wayne McAllister with 17 points apiece.
