The Jackson Lady Indians totally dominated the outclassed Seckman Lady Jaguars 75-35 at the Lady Bulldog Shootout on Saturday.
Seckman (8-6) was doomed from the opening tip as Jackson (10-2) ran out to a 20-2 first-quarter lead and cruised to the easy win.
"We haven't had a game like this in a long time," said Jackson coach Ron Cook. "It gets a lot of kids playing time and that's what you kind of look for in a game like this."
The entire roster of 13 players got playing time and all scored, with four in double digits.
Kristen Howard and Jenna Leet led with 14 points each, while Andrea Koeper and Whitney Werner followed with 13 and 12, respectively.
Leet and Koeper combined for five 3-pointers -- Leet had three, Koeper two -- in the opening quarter to set up the cakewalk.
With primarily reserves on the court in the second period, the Lady Indians led 40-15 at the half-time break.
Jackson pushed its lead to 59-28 at the end of the third quarter and completed the rout outscoring Seckman 16-7 in the final stanza.
Hot-shooting Jackson blistered the nets at a 62 percent pace from the floor, including 9 for 15 from the 3-point line.
Seckman, on the other hand, shot a tepid 34 percent while committing 24 turnovers. The Lady Jaguars made many trips down the court without getting off a shot and when they did the Lady Indians' dominance on the backboards usually limited them to one shot.
Leanne Bowers, Seckman's leading scorer, paced the Lady Jaguars with a game-high total of 18 points.
