BENTON, Mo. — Kennett improved its current win streak to three games while also snapping a three-game win streak by Kelly in a 48-34 win on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
The Lady Indians improved to 6-5 with the win, while the Lady Hawks dropped to 7-4.
“I think the wheels are starting to turn on our offensive and defensive scheme,” said Kelly coach Matthew Blissett. “They are starting to understand what we are looking for. I think now we just have to learn how to match it with our intensity and hustle.”
Anekia Farmer scored a game-high 21, and Taleigh Harrell added 12 for Kennett.
Kelly was led by Kristen Grogan and Jada Griggs, who scored 12 and 11, respectively.
Both teams return to action on Thursday.
Kelly travels to Saxony Lutheran (4-5), while Kennett will host Malden (5-5).
