Kennett primarily gave Kelly trouble inside the paint with an advantage in height and speed. Only one three-pointer was attempted by Kennett, and it was made by Johnson in the third quarter as well.

Kelly's Jada Griggs, the Hawks' high scorer with 16 total points, kept pace and scored eight of those in the third quarter. Behind Griggs, Kristen Grogan scored seven points, Ava Legrand added six, Paige Klipfel and Lola Pattengill each scored three and Kayleigh Holman scored two.

For Kennett, Johnson scored 28 and Edwards 22, Tejeda added 13 and Tayja Carter contributed six.

Kennett will look to keep it rolling against a Malden team with an identical record on the road Thursday. Kelly falls to a 6-3 record on the season and next hosts Saxony Lutheran Thursday.
