Kelly High School's girls' basketball team fell behind by 17 points at halftime and couldn't recover, losing to Twin Rivers 66-57 Saturday night in the championship game of the Twin Rivers Tournament.
The Hawks (6-4) trailed 34-17 at halftime before pulling to within six points after three quarters. Twin Rivers recovered in the final period to pull out the win.
Dana Essner led the Hawks with 26 points. Essner, along with teammate Cara Scherer, were named to the all-tournament squad.
