Jackson freshman Kasey Crowden continued her strong rookie soccer season by netting four goals over the past week.
Her streak of four-straight games with one goal included tallying the lone goal in a 1-0 victory over Poplar Bluff on April 17.
"[Crowden] has been playing well," Jackson coach Julie Wunderlich said. "She may be a freshman, but obviously on the field she doesn't play like a freshman. And she's really stepped it up for us. She has a couple game-winning goals for us and she got the first goal here tonight for us, which that sets the momentum."
Crowden has enjoyed playing with the older girls. She said one thing that has helped her in the early going is that she played with some of the girls before on some traveling teams and at some showcases.
"It's really exciting," Crowden said about playing on varsity. "I get a lot of encouragement from the older girls. They really help me out and stuff. We're really good together. We all connect on the field. They are all amazing players."
