ST. LOUIS -- Goalie Brent Johnson stopped 30 shots to earn his second consecutive shutout at home and Cory Stillman scored two goals as the Blues beat Los Angeles 5-0 Monday night.

Al MacInnis added two assists, including the 900th of his career, for the Blues.

The Kings have now lost two straight after winning five of their previous seven.

Johnson's best saves came midway through the second period when the Kings had a 2-on-1 short-handed rush. Ian Laperriere took two shots from the left side of the net and Johnson went down and blocked them both.

Scott Mellanby tipped a shot by Doug Weight past Kings goalie Jamie Starr for a power-play goal 11:53 into the second period that gave St. Louis a 1-0 lead. It was Mellanby's ninth goal in his last 15 games.

Stillman scored both his goals in the third period while Pavol Demitra and Keith Tkachuk added scores to put away the Kings, who failed to convert six power-play opportunities.

The Blues are 11-0-0-1 when leading after two periods this season.

LW Shjon Podein, who is two goals shy of 100 for his career, was a healthy scratch for the Blues.
