Jackson's Tuschoff hurls no-hitter

Jessica Tuschoff pitched a three-inning no hitter as the Jackson softball team routed host Perryville 16-0 on Monday.

Tuschoff struck out four and walked none as the Indians improved to 14-9.

Maggie Baugh and Sienna Miller both had three-run home runs for Jackson. Jessica Pitts drove in four runs, while Hana Bolen had two hits.

Becky Holder and Donielle Howell each had three hits for the Rams (9-14). Jennifer Aubuchon tripled and doubled, while Kim Klipfel added two hits.

The Bobcats (9-8) banged out 16 hits, led by Amanda Seabaugh and Courtney Burton with three each. Burnett, Taylor Keys and Taylor Smith all added two hits.

Three errors by the Central defense proved costly as the Tigers surrendered two unearned runs in a home loss.

Amanda Nichols pitched another complete game for the Tigers. She had five strikeouts and gave up four hits, two walks and one earned run.

Notre Dame improved to 10-1-1 with a home romp.

Ty Williams and Ryan Willen had two goals each. Mark Himmelberg, John Unterreiner, Joda Holloway and Brock Dirnberger each added one goal.

Joe Froemsdorf had three assists along, while Unterreiner and Himmelberg had two apiece. Holloway added one assist.

Jackson 4, Poplar Bluff 1

Jackson scored three first-half goals and improved to 9-1 with a home victory.

Aaron Shockley, Matt Mueller, Derek Bruecker and Andrew Lysell all scored for the Indians. Robbie Martin and Garret Stone earned assists.

Poplar Bluff avoided the shutout by scoring with about six minutes left.

Leopold won at home to raise its record to 13-3.

Cassie Seiler led Leopold with 17 assists and four digs while Maddie Hutchings had eight kills and three blocks. Casey Bucher also chipped in with six kills and four digs.

Brittany Licare led the Rams (11-7-1) with 19 digs. Jordan McFall chipped in with five assists and seven digs, while Kristin Yetman finished with two digs, two aces and two assists.

St. Vincent improved to 19-2-2 by sweeping Valle at home.

Sara Moll had five digs, Sarah DeWilde had six kills and Kelsey Cissell chipped in with 12 assists.

Saxony Lutheran rallied for a home victory as the Crusaders (9-9-3, 3-0 conference) matched their win total from last season.

Codie Landcaster led the Cubs with four kills and nine assists, while Jenny Lathum recorded four kills and four blocks.

The Indians dropped to 10-4-1 with a home loss.

Chelsea Olson led the Indians with 16 assists, 10 digs and two blocks, while Chelsea Dale added five kills, seven digs and five blocks. Katelyn James chipped in with six kills and two blocks.

Freshman -- Farmington won 25-15, 25-22.

Cassie Graviett led the Eagles (3-6) to a home win with four kills, four aces, five digs and one block.
