Jackson's American Legion team evened its District 14 record with a 9-4 home win Monday over Sikeston.
Jackson moved to 2-2 in district play, while Sikeston fell to 0-3.
Logan Lawson fanned 13, 11 looking, in 7 1/3 innings for the win. Jackson aided Lawson with 15 hits.
Ryan Cheney brought home the eventual game-winning run with a three-run home run in the fourth. Cameron Heath led Jackson with three hits and added two RBIs.
Cheney, Brandon Cooper, Chad Minson, Jordan Buchheit and Taylor Busch had two hits apiece for Jackson. Buchheit added two RBIs.
Cape Girardeau Ford & Sons surrendered six runs over the final five innings and fell 10-6 to Farmington at Capaha Field.
Cape led 3-0 after three innings and 5-4 heading into the fifth. Farmington tied the score in the fifth and added two runs apiece in the sixth and seventh to take control.
Justin Myers suffered the loss. Myers allowed seven runs, five earned over six innings with two strikeouts and two walks.
Ty Craft led Cape's offensive attack with two hits and three RBIs. Adam McMahan added two hits.
