Jackson suffered its first loss in girls tennis Tuesday, falling 6-3 to visiting Poplar Bluff.
Ellyn Beil was part of two wins for the Indians (1-1), earning a singles victory and teaming up with Sarah Detring for a doubles win.
Alynda Lane also won a singles match for Jackson, which travels to Kennett on Thursday.

Kelly began its defense of the Class 2 state softball title with a season-opening loss to visiting Chaffee.
After the Hawks scored in the bottom of the first inning, Chaffee took advantage of six Kelly errors and scored three unearned runs over the final four innings.
Courtney Walter earned the win on the mound for Chaffee (1-1), striking out five in seven innings, while Kalie Hughes suffered the loss for Kelly (0-1).
