Jackson still winless, eliminated from playoffs

Rockwood Summit officially eliminated Jackson from the Class 5 playoff picture with a 7-3 victory Friday night in Fenton, Mo.

Jackson broke a scoreless duel with a 32-yard field goal by Morgan Johnson on its first possession of the second half.

Summit finally broke through when running back Andrew Beisel hit tight end Josh Gray with an 8-yard touchdown pass with 6:26 left in the game.

Summit, which clinched a spot in the Class 5 playoffs, improved to 3-6.

Jackson fell to 0-9.
