The Jackson Senior Babe Ruth team lost a pair of extra-inning games Thursday night at New Madrid, dropping its record to 11-3.
New Madrid rallied in both games to post victories of 8-7 in eight innings and 3-2 in nine innings.
In the opener, New Madrid scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth with the help of a throwing error to overcome Jackson's run in the top of the inning.
Kyle Brown suffered the loss in relief. Brett Groening and Ryan Watkins each had two hits for Jackson.
In the second game, Jackson led 2-0 after four innings but New Madrid tied the game in the fifth and scored the winner in the ninth against Brown.
Jackson had just four hits in the second contest.
Brown, who fell to 1-2, allowed six hits and struck out 15.
Jackson, which played Friday against Arcadia Valley, hosts Cape Girardeau on Tuesday.
The Scott County American Legion Post 369 (Medicap) baseball team took two from the Charleston Senior Babe Ruth team on Thursday night, winning 8-5 and 17-3.
Caleb Daughetee picked up the win in the opener by shutting out Charleston after Lucas Dirnberger had allowed five runs on four hits in four innings. Daughetee allowed just two hits.
Dirnberger had a triple, Blaine Stewart had three hits, while Andy Stephens, Aaron Jenkins and Shane Menz each had two hits.
Stephens led the eruption in the second game with four hits, including a double, and five runs scored.
Jon Simpher pitched all six innings of the game, which was shortened by the 10-run rule. He allowed two hits and three earned runs in picking up the win.
Scott County plays the Cape American Legion team in a doubleheader beginning 2 p.m. Sunday at Notre Dame.
Cape splits with Dexter
The Cape Girardeau Senior Babe Ruth team split a doubleheader with Dexter at Capaha Field on Thursday.
Cape won the opener 6-2 behind a five-inning performance from Tyler Bruce. Bruce added two hits. Dylan Schweer pitched the final two innings for Cape.
In the second game, Dexter routed Cape 12-3. Nathan Kolda had two hits.
