Kendall Fay's two-out single in the bottom of the eighth inning lifted the Jackson Senior American Legion baseball team to victory at a wood bat tournament in Independence, Mo.
Jackson rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to force extra innings then won it in the eighth for the 6-5 victory over Independence.
Alex Bolen earned the win in relief Wednesday.
Dylan Koehler started the seventh-inning rally with a single. Mason Sander followed with a single then Fay and Brett Thomas both coaxed walks to force in a run to cut Jackson's deficit to 5-3.
Bolen and Ian Householder smacked sacrifice flies to even the score.
Koehler started the eighth-inning rally with two outs by poking another single, and Sander followed suit. That set the table for Fay to win in with his hit.
Logan Bartels started on the mound for Jackson, which improved to 22-10.
