Jackson's baseball team survived four errors to hold off Farmington 11-9 in a matchup of the top two seeds in Class 4 District 1 at Farmington on Tuesday.

Jason Meystedt went 4-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs for the Indians (15-2), and Chad Minson added three hits. Brandon Gendron and Zach Brazier each had two hits for Jackson.

Meystedt started on the mound but allowed nine hits and six earned runs in 5 2/3 innings before being replaced by winning pitcher Kyle Brown, who allowed two hits in the final 1 1/3 innings.

Jackson has the top seed in the district and Farmington is seeded second.

Andy Stephens struck out 11 and allowed just three hits to propel host Scott City to its sixth win in seven games.

The Rams (7-7) scored the game-winning run with two outs in the sixth. Jon Barr led Scott City with two hits.

Kelly is seeded first in the Class 2 District 2 tournament hosted by Scott City, which is seeded third.

Meadow Heights freshman Derek Hanners struck out eight in five innings to lead the Panthers to a home win.

Hanners also had three hits, including a double. Joel Hahs added two hits for Meadow Heights (9-8).

Nathan Stroder had a home run for Delta (4-9).

Relief pitcher Austin Morrison came on with two on in the seventh inning and struck out the side to preserve the Bluejays' victory.

Austin Hahs picked up the win.

Morrison also had two hits and a double, as did Ryan Pohlman and Johnnie Price for Oak Ridge (7-9). Tyler Williams had three hits.

For Woodland, Josh Foster and losing pitcher Andrew Wagoner each had two hits, including a double. Austin Bollinger had three hits.

St. Vincent scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to rally for a home win.

In a preview of next week's Class 2 District 2 quarterfinal game, St. Vincent blew a 12-4 lead before rallying in the seventh. Luke Guyot got the game-winning hit with a two-run double.

Brian Buchheit had three hits, two RBIs and two runs scored for the Indians (6-10). Joey Guilliams had two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored. Waylon Richardet added two hits and three runs scored.

Kyle Kline picked up the win on the mound with two innings pitched. Kline also hit a home run.

Oran was outhit 13-11 but managed to hold on.

The Eagles (14-6) got three hits from Ryan Bouge. Caleb Seyer and Paul Bucher had two hits apiece. Seyer had a double and a home run.

Austin Dumey pitched five innings for the win.

Nick Niemczyk and Clay Dover had three hits apiece for Bell City. Blaine Stewart and Garrett McIntyre had two hits apiece.

Steven Dooley suffered the loss for Chaffee (5-12), allowing four earned runs and striking out seven in four innings before being relieved by Adam Crowe in the fifth.

Augi Orr had two hits for the Devils.
