Lat year's meeting: Jackson 24, Central 14.

Notes: Jackson coach Carl Gross has given quarterback Marcus Harris more chances to throw the football the past two weeks. And Harris has responded, combining to complete 17 of his 20 passes, including a perfect 11-for-11 performance Saturday against Clayton. Through five weeks, he is now 27-for-54 for 325 yards. Gross said last year Central frequently brought 10 defensive players up in the box, and if it does that again this year, he will let Harris throw the ball more. Central coach Lawrence Brookins said he is more concerned about the powerful Jackson run game Adam Zweigart provides. Zweigart leads Southeast Missouri with 78 carries for 746 yards. He should make things difficult against a Central defense that has struggled this season.
