INDIANS ROLL TO 6-0 WIN OVER KNIGHTS

FARMINGTON, Mo. -- Michael Schuette was credited with four goals and Patrick Kohm posted two as the Jackson Indians rolled to a 6-0 soccer victory over Farmington on Thursday.

Matt Neal had three assists and Matt Gordon and Matt Buttry had an assist apiece, while goalkeeper Austin McDowell posted the shutout.

Jackson's junior varsity ended its season with a 5-0 win to put itself over the .500 mark at 9-8.

Dillon Sherman had two goals, while Stewart Knowlan, Danny Bono and David Haas had one each.

BASKETBALL

Cape Central 8th grade

Cape Central's 8th grade girls `A' and `B' teams both suffered losses to Sikeston.

The `A' team lost 35-25 as Lauren Thompson scored nine points in the losing effort.

The `B' team lost 29-11. Tamika Wisemen scored six points for Central.
