Although the opponents had already pretty much been set, Southeast Missouri State University officially released its 1997 football schedule Tuesday.
The slate will feature seven home games, with the Indians hitting the road only four times.
Non-conference home opponents will be NAIA foe Lambuth and Gateway Conference teams Illinois State and Southern Illinois.
Lambuth will be the season opener at Houck Stadium on Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. After an open date, Illinois State will follow on Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. Area rival Southern Illinois will visit Houck Stadium on Nov. 15 at 1 p.m.
The Ohio Valley Conference schedule will begin with road games at Murray State and Tennessee-Martin, on Sept. 20 and Sept. 27. The OVC home opener will be the Family Weekend game with Eastern Illinois on Oct. 4 at 5 p.m.
Other OVC home games will be vs. Tennessee Tech (Oct. 11, 1 p.m., homecoming) Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 8, 1 p.m.) and Tennessee State (Nov. 22, 1 p.m.).
